Some of the “Hurricane Buddies” are starting to come back to Winterpast Farm Petting zoo in Wake Forest NC. Big Thanks to all the kind local families and individuals who took a small furry friend into their home during what we thought would be a huge storm. Farmer Mary is very thankful that Florence turned away and she is slowly getting the very wet zoo cleaned up and getting the remaining bunnies and Guinea pigs out of her safe garage and into their usual hutches and pens.
This morning she is donating many of her big wire dog crates to help with a huge hurricane pet rescue effort going on right now at the State Fairgrounds. She will post a list of what is still needed (pet supplies and volunteers) at her Winterpast Farm FB page.
