May 16 2011 LIZZIE LOU the goat was part of an outdoor wedding. The Groom had a long standing joke with the Father of the Bride about exchanging a herd of goats for the Bride. He called Farmer Mary and together they decided one sweet baby goat would be best. The Best Man walked her down the aisle and the Bride had an utterly amazed look on her face. Then Farmer Mary helped place LIZZIE LOU on the lap of the Father of the Bride. When Farmer Mary settled the goat on his lap he whispered “this is a rental right?”
LIZZIE LOU originally came to Winterpast Farm as a bottle baby because she has double teats which was considered a genetic flaw. She was not considered perfect enough in her herd. At Winterpast Farm we think Lizzie Lou is perfect just the way God created her.
Here is LIZZIE LOU today with her little daughter HELEN at Winterpast Farm.
