Did you know you can host a pet from Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest North Carolina? For $50 you get the animal, cage, feed and everything you need for a week long educational animal experience. Winterpast Farm has hosted pre-schools, Scout goups, Mom groups, Homeschooler groups and public school groups. One time we had 150 second graders here! Farmer Mary hired a few farmer and a forestor friend to help that time! There is plenty of parking and school buses can get in and out easily.
2017 The animals of Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo drew record crowds tonight (Dec 23) at the second night of Live Nativity at Hayes Barton Baptist Church in Raleigh. Tonight Farmer Mary went with an all white theme with sheep CHARLIE BROWN and his pregnant wife, CINDY LOU and goats THOMAS and his pregnant wife, BUTTERCUP. Someone dropped by with a hurt duck today at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. We made it a separate recuperation pen. People often buy little yellow ducklings as pets then dump them in local neighborhood ponds after they grow. Usually they are killed by predators within a few days. This female Pekin duck was lucky to be saved by a concerned stranger. Don’t buy your child a baby duck!!!!

Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo visit tips from the “Your Visit” pages at winterpast.org:
💵ADMISSION is $10 cash for all ages. Tiny babies in arms Farmer Mary will not interact with do not have to pay. Cash ONLY. Be ready to pay with exact change on arrival. No change is available. Please do not plan to debate our admission fee at the gate.
🚗PARKING lot is small so park CLOSE together and pull in VERY close to the plywood pig 🐷 faces marking parking spots. The address is 12936 Ghoston Road, Wake Forest. If the lot is full DO NOT park blocking the gate. Park on the road in front of the farm with all four wheels OFF the road.
👍PLEASE Do not go down the neighbors private road behind our barn even if your GPS says to turn there!!
❓How to make an appointment❓Check open hours posted at winterpast.org or Winterpast Farm on FB or winterpast_farm on Instagram then TEXT 9192441800 your very specific request of how many people at what time on what date to schedule your visit. Text ONLY between 8am and 10pm.
You could text “group of five moms and six kids this Thursday June 12 at noon for picnic lunch and tour?” Texting only!
🥬BRING ANIMAL FOOD: kale, collards, romaine, whole wheat crackers. (Ritz or saltine best), a few slices of whole wheat bread, plain cheerios, carrots, celery, green beans, thinly sliced apples, grapes. NOT moldy bread, NOT white bread, NOT salty junk food like chips or pretzels, NOT candy, NOT lemons/limes , NOT raw potatoes, NOT French fries or other salty leftovers.
🍎Farmer Mary has $5 mixed buckets of food for sale.
🥕We have had instances of choking and near death due to poor feeding choices made by visitors.
