🐖Meet some really nice pigs and get a Pig Selfie on PET A PIG DAY on Friday Jan 17 from 10-5 at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC.
🐖Did you know that Farmer Mary is offered a pet pig who “grew bigger than the breeder said” EVERY WEEK!?!?!?!?!Pigs DO NOT stay small. Ever!!!!!!!!!!!! Please do not be one of those people!

Current pigs at Winterpast Farm include:
🐷PEG-LEG (who was born without a back left foot and is a little shy)
🐷DAISY (who was someone’s $3500 “mini” pig who grew and grew as all pigs do and who loves being petted
🐷FRANKLIN who is a young former pet male who is currently employed digging up and fertilizing Farmer Mary’s garden and will move to the pasture soon.

On PET A PIG day the normal petting zoo admission will apply (read more at “your visit” at www.winterpast.org) and the whole zoo will be open. Farmer Mary will add occasional trips for groups to visit the barnyard to see and pet the pigs up close (if you choose). Please don’t plan to complain about mud or poop in the barnyard.
Farmer Mary has #handmadewithlove clay ornaments shaped like pigs for sale. Sales help her continue to care for and to feed all the former pets, including pigs, now living at Winterpast Farm.
🐖The pigs will eat very nicely out of your hands and especially enjoy thinly sliced apples🍎 , carrots🥕 , grapes🍇 , celery, and plain Cheerios. A longer list of food you can bring to feed the pigs (and other animals) is at the “Your Visit” at www.winterpast.org.
