Farmer Mary hopes to make the farm a permanently undeveloped property where her own adopted special needs daughter, now 22 and about to start her second year of the Scholars With Diverse Abilities Program at AppState, can be the forever live in caretaker.
🐓A place where many special needs, unwanted, and elderly animals can live out their lives in peace. This includes pictured former pet “minipig” DAISY who “grew bigger than the breeder said”. Farmer Mary is offered a “too big” pet pig 🐖about once a month. Pigs do NOT stay small.#teacuppig #minipig
🐐A place where many special needs teens and adults enjoy volunteering in a safe environment where they can interact with sweet animals at their own pace.
🐖A place where visitors of all ages can enjoy spending time outdoors enjoying the old tobacco farm, the pasture and the deep pine woods where you can still see the last deep furrows the farmer plowed when the property was a tobacco farm.
