The huge Japanese Maple tree at Winterpast Farm is about to turn red. When Farmer Mary purchased the farm about 15 years ago this Japanese Maple was just one of many nice suprises she had as the seasons changed each bringing certain and unexpected beauty. This tree is referred to as “Thomas’s tree” since Farmer Mary’s son Thomas loved to climb it when he was little. Thomas now is a 6’5′ Senior at Millbrook High School with his mind on college applications. Seasons go by quickly as years seem to fly right by.
Come see Thomas’s tree and all the sweet animals at Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest Nc. The farm is open for visits this weekend on Saturday from 10-5 and Sunday from 12-5.
If you want to visit the farm and meet all the animals please read “your visit” at www.winterpast.org which explains petting zoo admission, how to park at a pig, how not to go down the neighbors private road behind the Winterpast barn even if your GPS says to turn there, and lists food you can bring to feed the animals during your farm visit.
