This is a new event that Farmer Mary is going to try at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC.
Please don’t come that day asking to hold a bunny. This is a back pasture only event for those who enjoy outdoor photography. Come back another time for a bunny holding farm visit.
The emu and donkeys and peacocks and some sheep and goats will be in the back pasture and all can be photographed and interacted with. You may also carefully explore the ground level of the old tobacco barn.
No feeding animals while you are in the pasture. You can feed them through the fence as usual before or after.
No hanging out allowed in the front bunny area at all except to feed animals along the fenceline by the barn. Farmer Mary will be in the back pasture.
Plan to park mindfully and to pay the usual $10 cash admission at the box at the gate then let yourself in (and close the gate behind you!) and then to head straight ahead to the back pasture where there is a gate.
Don’t let animals from the pasture into the front area. Don’t let animals from the front area into the pasture.
If this isn’t the kind of farm visit you want then come another day. Children must be within arms length of their adults at all times from the moment you enter the first gate.
No chasing of any animals or climbing on the wood piles please.
If you can’t watch your children please don’t attend this event. Farmer Mary reserves the right to ask anyone not behaving well or not following the few safety rules to leave.
