Lazy day snoozing in the shade for pig pals DAISY and PEG-LEG at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC.
🐖Sweet polka dotted DAISY (who is really white but is currently North Carolina red clay colored) was a $3000 “mini” “teacup” pig originally bought from a breeder. She then had several homes as she started to grow larger than the breeder had said she would. Funny how mini pig breeders usually forget to share that pigs grow for four years! Farmer Mary was happy to give her a home when she “outgrew”😉 her welcome at her former home.
🐖PEG-LEG was born at Winterpast Farm and was special from the start since she was born without a back left foot. Farmer Mary named her PEG-LEG the pirate pig and she is a big favorite at Winterpast Farm.
🐖Farmer Mary hopes these pigs and other former pet and special needs and elderly animals will be able to live out their natural lifespan safely and with lots of love at Winterpast Farm.
