THANKS to everyone who donated pumpkins today to help feed all the animals at Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest NC. All ages enjoying throwing pumpkins to the animals and watching how quickly they were gobbled up by the mini donkeys, pigs, goats, emu, chickens and sheep. The pregnant goats and sheep especially appreciate the fresh pumpkin treat.

OLGA the Great Dane greeted visitors for the past few days at Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest NC. Many years ago Farmer Mary helped OLGA rehabilitate from being in a puppy mill and now OLGA has a loving family of her own but she often vacations at Winterpast Farm. She is getting old anf gets cold easily so she is borrowing one of Farmer Mary’s sweaters while she is staying at Winterpast Farm this holiday weekend.

VINNIE the hedgehog came outside for a short while today and had some lap time with COOKIE the baby bunny at Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest NC. When it is cold VINNIE stays inside Farmer Mary’s house since he can’t take the cold temperature. In a few weeks he will be moving to a farm volunteers nice warm home for the remainder of the winter. Farmer Mary’s old drafty 1730’s house is not the warmest even with the whole house wood stove going.
