WILL WINTERPAST FARM ANIMALS STAR ON POPULAR TV SHOW “LIZARD LICK TOWING”??

The location scout for the TV show “Lizard Lick Towing”, which is locally developed, visited Winterpast Farm recently and may decide to film one of the popular show’s episodes at the farm.    Big Mama the pig and her children were greatly admired for a possible mud-related scene

and the New York-based producers enjoyed bottle feeding Juliet Louise and feeding emus and Lucky the llama.  Stay tuned for more information.  Watch the show in July!

NEW BABY LAMB AT WINTERPAST FARM

A darling 4 week old male lamb, solid black with one tiny white dot, moved to Winterpast Farm today.  He came from a farm in Willow Springs.  He is adjusting to the bottle, and loves playing with Juliet Louise and the baby pigs. Tomorrow he’ll go with Farmer Mary to an Easter Egg Hunt at the Heritage neighborhood of Wake Forest (location 804 Heritage Lake Drive) from 11-1.  Come pet him there!

Here’s a photo of him with his mom at his old farm.

His name is “James” (and he’s considered the fiance of Juliet Louise)  They’re getting along great and sleep with Charlie the dog very happily.  Lizzie Lou the goat is a bit unhappy to have yet another new baby here at the farm but she’ll adjust. She remembers last year when SHE was the darling baby girl.  Come give her a little love and attention soon!

UPDATE-Event rained out. New date Saturday March 31. Farmer Mary’s children will be there with animals while she’s back at the farm hosting a farm birthday party that morning.  She’s very happy she has two lambs now so her animals can be in two places at one time!

Here’s farm helper, Cassidy, teaching James how to drink his bottle.

DARLING DUCKS LOVE TO BE HELD

There are new baby ducks at Winterpast Farm.  A friend bought these two and decided to donate them to the farm.  That’s an Indian Runner duck on the left, and a crested Silver Appleyard duck on the right.  They’ve been living inside, and just moved outdoors today…they love all the rain!
