NEW BABY TWIN LAMBS!!!

This morning Farmer Mary went outside to feed and water the animals and she glanced over and there was JULIET LOUISE the sheep with a brand new baby boy! She moved them to the front yard, tended to the baby (out iodine on the belly button, put a little coat on for warmth) and got ready to greet a Birthday girl who was celebrating turning 4 today.

“Friend of the Farm”, David, was here helping repair a pen that had imploded due to the weight of the recent snow, so the new baby boy will be DAVID. Here are the two Davids.

The Birthday girl arrived and enjoyed holding FOUR baby bunnies at one time!

When the time came for a pasture walk, as the family and Farmer Mary and CHARLIE, the farm dog, entered the pasture a little cry was heard. A TWIN!! The other lamb, also a boy, was brought up to his mom and brother by the Birthday girl.

HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A PAINTING DONKEY??!

Farmer Mary saw this very unique photograph on another farm website and it made her wonder if the mini donkeys of Winterpast Farm have a desire to express themselves in art. When the weather warms up we will plan an animal painting day. Wonder what LUCKY the llama would paint?

MEET SOME OF THE BUNNIES AT WINTERPAST FARM

HENRY is a Jersey Woolie bunny who is extra soft. He loves to sit on laps and especially likes carrot tops to eat.

20140225-223027.jpg

GILBERT is a super sized “lap and a half” bunny, usually needing two children to sit side by side to hold him. He has ruby eyes and is very sweet. He loves kale best as a treat.

20140225-223149.jpg

HUNNY BUNNY has lived at Winterpast Farm for just over a year and she is so soft, Farmer Mary calls her a “velvet” bunny. HUNNY BUNNY is one of the most popular bunnies in Farmer Mary’s RENT-A-RABBIT program. For $35 you get a sweet bunny, cage, food and all you need for a temporary pet for a week.

KOKO is another favorite rental bunny. When he is at Winterpast Farm in his pen visitors often ask Farmer Mary why she has a cat in a pen! He looks alot like a Siamese cat! KOKO is mostly fluff and loves laps.
