A visitor brought along a stuffed frog this past weekend as part of a school project. She was to take the frog on outings and then write about it. Farmer Mary suggested and set up a few photos to go along with her paperwork. The frog seemed to enjoy itself!

“JUSTIN BEIBER” STILL FLIRTING AFTER MOLT

Justin Beiber, our young peacock hasn’t let his young age or lack of pretty feathers keep him from flirting with every hen, duck, piglet, peahen etc. at Winterpast Farm. Although it is molting time and he has lost the few “eye” feathers he grew this year, he is still full of pride and practicing for next year when he will be mature enough for marriage.
Here he is today flirting with a duck in a cage.

FARMER MARY’S GOOD DOG “CHARLIE”

Farmer Mary’s good dog, Charlie, is on fox patrol at night…there is a fox that comes to dinner most mornings around 4am. In the day time Charlie is happy to met the gate, loves hugs and keeps a close eye (but not too close!) on the chickens and bunnies and other animals here at Winterpast Farm. Occasionally “Big Wanda” the Great Dane makes a front yard appearance, but she is old and prefers the cool bathroom floor. Today kids who needed to use the bathroom had to share space with Wanda who was stretched out on the tile floor all afternoon.
