Big THANKS to the volunteer firefighters @northernwakefire who donated their leftover pumpkins to help feed the animals at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. Farmer Mary’s oldest son is a Volunteer Firefighter with Northern Wake.
The animals all love to eat pumpkins so bring your intact pumpkins and ask your neighbors for theirs! You can bring them along on your next scheduled farm visit or just drop them off anytime out by the old tobacco barn. Dry hay bales also welcome to be used for bedding .
Farmer Mary has a friend who can use bales of hay that have gotten wet for gardening so feel free to drop those here.
Thank you for supporting a small local farm family animal rescue. There are unwanted animals donated or left at the gate almost daily!

🐑Please volunteer (read the “volunteer” section at www.winterpast.org) before publicly complaining about anything here. Farmer Mary can always use help especially now that her children are all away at college. There are endless animals being donated or left at the front gate. There are many current chores like winterizing of all the hutches and setting up dry clean maternity pens, getting the pond winterized, rebuilding roofs of pens and always the fixing of fencing and general farm chores.
