One of the male peacocks has been meeting farm visitors out by the barn today at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. He is trying to impress the lady peacocks with his tail which is about half way grown out since his annual molt.
Open today until 5.
Farmer Mary will be showing farm visitors the emu egg (and perhaps a second will be laid) on Saturday Nov 25 at exactly 10:30, 12:30, 2:30 and 4:30. On Sunday Nov 26 the farm is open 12-5 and the emu nest tours will be at 1:30 and 4:30. Don’t be late. Farm visitors who want to walk way out in the back pasture are welcome-be on time!! (BTW they tend to lay eggs later in the day.)
