Farmer Mary was outside this morning checking the weather. It is sprinkling now and if the rain comes she will update the zoo closed.
She was also picking up peacock feathers at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. HENRY (5$3 cutest) puppy was “helping”. The male peacocks molt their beautiful long tail feathers this time of year and many drop out while they are grooming themselves at night. Farmer Mary watches closely to see which trees the males choose to sleep in. The feathers are for sale ($5) which helps Farmer Mary continue to care for and feed all the animals at Winterpast Farm.
