BABY PEACOCKS

Farmer Mary’s daughter caught one of the newly released young peacocks for visitors to look at closely yesterday. So beautiful! Meanwhile BUTTERCUP the naughty baby goat was back in her time out pen yesterday for a few hours after she was found in the farm parking lot! Several years ago BUTTERCUPS Mother, PRIMROSE was given to Farmer Mary. No reason given. Farmer Mary is now pretty sure it was because she sneaks out of the fenced pasture often. PRIMROSE trims up the neighbors weeds then stands patiently at the gate to Winterpast Farm to be let back in. She has certainly taught her daughter BUTTERCUP to be an escaper.

Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest is open today for visits from 12-5. Farmer Mary’s phone is DEAD (she is getting a new one late this afternoon) so no need to text her-just come! Read “your visit” at www.winterpast.org for visit tips and a list of food you can bring to feed the animals.
