PEACOCK REGROWING HIS TAIL FEATHERS

With his head down to eat a cracker you can see how this mature male peacock is regrowing his beautiful long tail feathers after his annual molt. Right now his long “eye”feathers are for sale to help Farmer Mary continue to feed him, his wife and children. He will have long feathers totally regrown by early spring when he wants to impress the ladies here at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC.

Bring him a snack when you visit Winterpast Farm. He loves kale, grapes, soft apples, corn, blueberries, peas, cheerios and whole wheat crackers.
If you would like to meet all the animals at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo, PLEASE read the entire “your visit” at www.winterpast.org which very fully explains parking, our admission price, and lists a wide variety of food you can bring for feeding the animals.
