PEACOCKS AT WINTERPAST FARM

Three year old male shows “eye” feathers which will grow longer and longer over the next few months.

Amazing support structure to hold up those long tail feathers!

White male in pen is two-no “eye” feathers are seen yet. Other male in pen is 3. Peacock outside showing off is also 3.

Another 2 year old male above.

Winterpast Farm peacocks are fun to watch this season! Photos were taken today. Young males are trying out their newly growing tail feathers in anticipation of the early spring “wedding” season. When you visit Winterpast Farm be sure to bring the guys a snack to help them keep up their strength! They love to eat kale, grapes, dry oatmeal, cheerios, dry dog food, thinly sliced apples, grated carrots and more.
