STRIPEY pig is due to have piglets around February 28. Her tummy is growing daily and sways from side to side whenever STRIPEY walks. Pretty soon Farmer Mary will move her to the front yard and encourage her to nest in the garage.
This morning MOLLY the pregnant goat was moaning really loudly so Farmer Mary ran out with supplies and ipad for photos, but no baby news…she is just not very happy being cooped up in a maternity pen. However, Farmer Mary is giving her extra treats and attention and probably MOLLY will be glad to not have the entire barnyard of animals present at birthing. Especially this rainy week when all the animals are crowded into the barn most of the time. rain just beginning here…really the last thing we need after the snow melt, but Farmer Mary is trying hard to remember rain will also bring green pastures.
FARM OPEN Mon, Wed, Fri, and all day Saturday (closed for a birthday Sunday afternoon) but Farmer Mary wants to remind prospective visitors that sitting on a wet chair holding a wet bunny is NOT as fun as sitting on a dry chair holding a dry bunny, so you might think about visiting on a dry day!
