Farmer Mary has been working on the pond at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. A new stronger pump went in today and the diving board waterfall is flowing. Volunteers helped gather more rocks from the back forest to line the edges. Farmer Mary plans to plant sunflowers and other tall flower seeds tomorrow ahead of the rain coming our way. She has plans for several different types of floating islands for plants that will hopefully keep turtles and fish from considering them floating restaurants.
