THOMAS the Blue Slate turkey obviously didn’t get the memo that the season of turkey love ❤️is over for this year. He has been strutting around his wife TURKEY LURKEY all afternoon at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC.
🦃 Turkeys are seasonal breeders and THOMAS and all the male peacocks (which are also seasonal breeders) are molting their long tail feathers which they will regrow just in time to try to win the hearts of the ladies in the springtime.

❤️Good news for those who have been following the zoo lately is that it looks like Winterpast Farm and Farmer Mary’s home will be safe, just on considerably fewer acres. The legal system moves very very slowly so we apologize that updates have been few and far between. However, the GoFundMe will continue as a possible buyout of the back acres is still what Farmer Mary dreams about.
