VISITORS FROM CONNECTICUT ENJOY VISITING WINTERPAST FARM

A family from Connecticut visits Winterpast Farm whenever they are in North Carolina. This week they have already come twice despite some cold and rain and mud! The girls have enjoyed helping Farmer Mary gather eggs and feed and water the animals.

Today the baby ducks and some new guinea pigs were inside Farmer Mary’s house, so the family came inside to see them. They also had a chance to meet CHARLIE and WANDA, the farm dogs, as well as KLUNA, BRADY, LENNIE and RUPERT who are all dogs that are happy to be vacationing at the farm over Thanksgiving. The girls enjoyed reading a book titled Three Hens And A Peacock with Farmer Mary.

The girls explored the woods hoping to find an emu egg, helped baby chicks find their way back to their warm home in the garage and helped feed a hen who was rescued from under a water bucket. Wonder how she ended up there! Farmer Mary loves seeing families who are visiting friends and family locally visit the farm year after year.
