WINTERPAST FARM HOSTS CHILDREN FROM BELARUS

Farmer Mary and her children have hosted a child from Belarus (near the Chernobyl nuclear disaster) every summer for the past ten years. VLAD has been coming for five years and arrives June 30. He is 14. This year another host family just bowed out so we will also host 9 year old STEPHAN for his first visit to the U.S. He arrives next Tuesday evening along with most of the 19 children from Belarus. VLAD is delayed several weeks due to some mandatory school testing. If anyone with skinny young boy clothes, shoes and other boy gear who would like to donate for these children it would be greatly appreciated!. Size/age 6-14. They tend to be incredibly underweight and under sized.

Every breath they take is toxic still at home; by spending six weeks here they statistically live two years longer! Any items our boys can’t use we will pass along to the other host families. They arrive with an empty suitcase we like to fill with clothing, toiletries and school supplies for their return.

If you have friends who speak Russian, let them know and we can invite them to some host family events.

Please SHARE with moms of skinny boys who might be weeding out clothing soon! Thank You!

P.S. for those who do not know, two of my four teens, Elizabeth and Alex, were adopted from Stavropol Russia 11 years ago.

This is the only pic we have of 9 year old Stephen.
